Seahorse after first painting session
Oil on Canvas 16" x 20"
Here I'm going for a smoother edged shape than my usual seahorse art. My starting point is usually my set of dried seahorses which show the skeleton prominently. But when you look at live horses they are plumper and more colorful. Not that I'm going for total realism but we'll see where it goes.

After painting session 2, almost finished. Just needs a few highlights and maybe enhancement to the contours.
